I have just experienced the longest FIVE hours of my life! Health Ed was so boring today!!! I even left the office for like 30 minutes and went to the science library to help Amy find a book, plus Melanie came by the office with Conner (he is SO cute... very tiny baby) which was about 20 minutes of distraction from what I was doing... which was basically nothing. ^_^ I did however try to catch up with everyone and their blogs, it's really fun reading about everyone's day.
I went to sleep at 6 this morning, maybe that's why I was so not wanting to do anything at the office... I started Monday early too... lack of sleep and then it didn't end till 6 this morning... I'm SO tired! I went to sleep at 4 Monday morning after coming home from a road trip to the beach (it was HELLA foggy on the way home) with a friend. I ended up waking up at around 10:30 (missing my class once again) and started working on my paper till I had to go to class at 2 to turn it in... I finished, but it was pure crap! I ended up not going to my 3 o'clock class and passed out on the brown couch at Interfaith and woke up to the conversations of Flo and Chris B.
Flo, Nathalie, and I headed over RH that evening to help serve the homeless with the young adults of the parish and RCIA students. David, Emely, Cherry, Gerard, Kathy, Jei, and a lot of the SOL people were there too. That night was a very humbling experience. I had never done something like that before and I felt so... hm... I don't know how to describe the feeling I had. It was good feeling though, and I was really happy that I went to help serve. I almost cried too, keyword: almost. I just started thinking about what the homeless go through... no roof over their heads, a warm place to sleep for the night, not knowing where their next meal will come from... and here I am, with all those things... I read Regina's blog today and there was something she posted a couple of days ago that really hit me, it was cool cause it reminded me of the things I do have and should be thankful for. Serving was AWESOME, I wish more of us had gone.
After we were done cleaning up we left for Irvine. We didn't even know what we wanted to do, but we knew we wanted to hang out. So David, Nathalie, Flo and I went to 25A to meet up with Fran, Dee (who lied to us and said they were going to SD but were really just at the apartment) and Shelby, to figure out what we were gonna do. We ended up borrowing "The Ring" from blockbuster and watching it at 25A. Fran refused to watch it, but she also had a paper due... err, past due since Friday that she needed to work on. So it was me, Dee, David, Flo, Shelby, and Odiee who ended up watching it. That movie, even the second time around, is HELLA scary!!!
None of us wanted to go home after that, so we all slept over. Francia even gave us toothbrushes to use and a sharpie to put our names on it, I thought that was so funny! She's such a nanay! David borrowed one of Fran's pajamas too (just try to imagine that) ^_^ We watched "Joy Ride," and about half of "Bring It On" that night/morning. I eventually fell asleep around 6 and got up to go back to my apartment to get ready for work at 8... and as of now, I'm still hella tired!
