have you ever looked back on the past and wondered why things happened the way things did? why people died, why people had to suffer? as i was sitting in my history class this morning, freezing cause the AC seems to be on full blast in that room for some reason, and as we were watching the the begining of a video about WWII about the Japanese people... I started tearing for some reason. i sometimes sit through that class and think of all the bad stuff that has happened to so many ppl back then; the lives lost, the innocence distroyed because of war, and the lives that were forever changed because of injury. it just really brought a sense of sadness to me, a deep sense of sadness that made me want to cry... of course i didn't though since i was sitting in class.

the same thing happened as i was headed to the library today. hanging in display in front of the langson library are t-shirts that show pictures and messages of rape/abuse victims. many of them are short survival testimonies about what they've been through, while some are rememberance t-shirts of those that have died because of rape or abuse. as i was reading them, another sense of sadness came upon me. i can only imagine what these people had to go through, and it makes me sad that they had to go through it in the first place. some of them were abuse that took place when they were young, from 5 years of age and up. i could only think of the kind of emotional damage that those children had to go through, and the imprints that it must of left with them growing up. it also made me think of friends that have gone through that type of situation and only guess the fear and hurt they must of felt. ::sigh::

k, i'm done... don't really know where that came from, but if you have a chance today, or sometime this week, cause i think the t-shirts will be out all week, take a look at them and spend some time reading what they have to say.
